Alexandra Robinson -
'Cello
Orchestra of the Welsh National Opera
Alexandra
grew up in a musical family, where her love of chamber music
blossomed, as it was part of her family life. Alexandra read
music at the University of York, followed by post graduate
studies at the
Royal Academy of Music, London.
Whilst a student, she became interested in performances with
authentic instruments.
Alexandra joined the Orchestra of the
Welsh National Opera
in 1980, and having married an Australian theatre director in
1984, left soon after to take up other musical work in London.
Alexandra rejoined the orchestra in 1988.
